Our Jungle Expeditions fleet invites you to come and discover the Amazon aboard “La Esmeralda, La Turmalina, La Turquesa, La Amatista and La Aquamarina,” vessels that combine the beauty of wood with the strength of steel. Our ships are built in the style of 19th Century Amazon river boats. However, inside they offer travelers all the comforts of a five-start hotel, with climate-controlled air conditioned cabins, with en-suite tiled bathrooms with private warm water showers and service that will meet the standards of the most demanding passenger. All cabins have two single-bed berths with storage under them.
Impeccably handcrafted these luxurious riverboats are now available for departures from Iquitos. Passengers experience probably the most stylish and comfortable of all Amazon cruises, a remarkable and outstanding trip with excellent chances of seeing monkeys, dolphins, sloths, macaws and more. Through a circular bank of floor-to-ceiling windows in the dining parlors, the backdrop for every meal is an ever-changing vista. Each day of your memorable Amazon cruise offers the opportunity to visit remote forest lakes and streams on foot or in small boats. Along side of our riverboats there are small flat-bottom motor boats powered by exceptionally quiet engines permit intimate exploration of small streams and lakes with ease and comfort, and a minimum of noise intrusion. The mobility of our ships and their excursion boats will allow us to explore different habitats and streams each morning and afternoon, and provide exceptional opportunities to see wildlife.
Now you can travel down the Amazon River in the comfort and style cruising the Ucayali, Maranon and the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Birds will soar overhead and monkeys play in the trees above, so bring your binoculars and zoom lens.
Our expeditions operate on a fixed departure to the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve (an area unrivaled for wildlife) for a 7 day/6 night cruise. The ships may also be available for special interest groups on a charter basis.
