MS Swiss Emerald defines the word luxury. Launched exclusively for Tauck’s European river cruises in 2006, MS Swiss Emerald’s three passenger decks are custom-designed to comfortably accommodate 118 Tauck guests in gracious style. She features 14 luxurious 300-square-foot suites that sport floor-to-ceiling windows, brocade upholstery, walk-in closets and marble baths with full-size tubs. Her 59 well-appointed, outside-facing cabins and junior suites range from 150 to 183 square feet.
Boasting plush interiors, each cabin is equipped with a plasma TV, mini-bar, radio, safe, hair dryer, adjustable air conditioning and a private bathroom with shower, pampering l’Occitane toiletries and terry cloth robes; power is 220 volt.
Guests will enjoy exceptional vantage points throughout the ship, where panoramic windows provide spectacular views of the passing shoreline. Culinary pleasures are many, from a spacious restaurant that offers menus designed for a variety of tastes to special events and evenings that celebrate regional traditions. In addition to a roomy topside sun deck, steam room, spa and 24-hour Jacuzzi, the ship invites relaxation in the lounge, the library or in its teak-lined Lido Bar on the Aft deck. Featuring a 180º glass wall that fully opens for inside-outside cocktails at the end of each day, the Lido Bar also offers coffee & tea, cappuccino, soft drinks and snacks throughout the day.
